Construction EcoServices Sends Employee on a Mission
In 1990, Living Water International set out to help the poorest of the poor. More than a billion people in the world live on less than a dollar a day. At least 844 million people lack access to safe drinking water. Communities are trapped in debilitating poverty because they constantly suffer from water-related diseases and parasites, and/or because they spend long stretches of their time carrying water over long distances. In response to this need, Living Water International implement participatory, community-based water solutions in developing countries. Since inception, Living Water International has completed nearly 20,000 water projects.
To help participate in Living Water International’s mission, Construction EcoServices selected employee Tracy Vo to join the Guatemala-based project where a new water well is being drilled for a village in need of a nearby fresh water supply. In addition, Construction EcoServices sent a care package filled with footballs, soccer balls, rubber balls, air pumps, frisbees, jump ropes and hot wheels. We hope the kids in the village enjoy them.
